Genuine Walterscheid 1699743 | S4GA coated PTO shafting profile tube, supplied in a 1000 mm length, manufactured from ST52-3BK high-strength steel with a low-friction GA surface treatment.
This S4GA star profile tube (37 × 51 mm) shares the same base geometry as standard S4 profile tubing and is therefore dimensionally interchangeable when matched by profile and length.
From an engineering standpoint, S4GA is intended for Walterscheid CV (constant-velocity / wide-angle) PTO drivelines, where frequent telescoping movement and higher articulation angles increase sliding friction and wear. In these applications, the GA coating helps reduce friction, heat buildup, and surface wear.
Because the underlying profile geometry is identical, S4GA may also be used in standard (non-CV) PTO drivelines if desired. While the coating is not required for non-CV operation, it does not reduce performance and may provide extended service life in demanding conditions.
This tube functions as an inner profile tube, restoring proper driveline overlap, smooth telescoping operation, and consistent torque transfer.
The supplied 1000 mm length provides additional material for fitting and may be cut to match the customer’s required driveline overall length (OAL) during installation.
