Walterscheid 117229 is a genuine PG20 PTO guard bearing slide ring, OEM 1117229, used in compatible Walterscheid PowerDrive protective guard assemblies. This standard PowerDrive slide ring provides the bearing surface that supports the protective PTO guard around the rotating driveline, allowing the guard to remain correctly positioned during operation.
The PG20 slide ring has a nominal 77 mm inside diameter (d) and a published 10 mm A dimension, designed for compatible PowerDrive yokes with the original wider PG20 protective-guard groove. It provides the standard bearing connection for compatible PG20 / PGH20 PowerDrive protective guard assemblies. Some of these guard systems can alternatively use the PG25 adapter slide ring (139178 / OEM 1139178) when fitted with standard-style yokes featuring narrower SC25-type grooves. PG20 and PG25 accommodate different yoke-groove sizes and are not directly interchangeable, even though both can connect to compatible PowerDrive guard assemblies.
Applications include compatible P300, P400 and P500 standard non-CV PowerDrive drivelines, along with selected PWE480, PWE580, PWZ480, PWZ580 and PWZ675 wide-angle CV driveline guard configurations. On single-CV drivelines, the PG20 slide ring may be used at the standard non-CV joint end, while selected double-CV guard assemblies may also specify this component. Walterscheid lists OEM 1117229 in compatible PG20 / PGH20 protective guard assemblies. The correct slide ring depends on the original yoke and guard arrangement, not simply the driveline series.
Before ordering, verify the original Walterscheid OEM number, 77 mm inside diameter, 10 mm A dimension, yoke guard groove and protective guard assembly. A PGH20 guard designation alone does not determine whether the original PG20 slide ring or smaller PG25 adapter is required. Part 117229 corresponds to genuine Walterscheid OEM 1117229.
